L-Carnitine Tartrate

Research has shown that carnitine supplementation can improve exercise performance.  The majority of studies to date have shown an increase in maximal oxygen consumption and a lowering of the respiratory quotient indicating that dietary carnitine has the potential to stimulate lipid metabolism.

Treatment with L-carnitine also has been shown to induce a significant post-exercise decrease in plasma lactate, which is formed and used continuously under fully aerobic conditions.

Thus there is evidence for a beneficial effect of carnitine supplementation in training, competition, and recovery from strenuous exercise and in regenerative athletics.

L-carnitine Tartrate is a more stable form of L-Carnitine and I feel that L –Carnitine Tartrate is superior to L- Carnitine as a critical additive to any hardcore athlete’s diet.
