Dr. Family Talks About Conjugated Linoleic Acid

The only way to get Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) in food is through meat and dairy products. It has been shown that the CLA content in our food has decreased by 60% over the past 40 years. This is due to the current feeding practices of cattle farms.

CLA has been shown in numerous studies to reduce body fat while increasing lean muscle mass. Some studies have demonstrated that CLA inhibits lipoprotein lipase, an enzyme that breaks down fat from our diet so that it can be absorbed and stored in the body. By suppressing this enzyme, CLA helps reduce the amount of fat deposited and stored throughout the body.

The CLA formula from the Designs for Health, I find to increase the burn rate of fat cells and increase lean muscle mass. I find that a good diet along with regular exercise is also essential to weight loss.
